Territory Account Representative - nVent HOFFMAN

As a Territory Account Representative for nVent HOFFMAN, you will be directly responsible for developing sales plans, strategies, and final presentations, aiming to meet customer and improve the growth of sales for the brand. The role holder should be based in Mumbai and should be able to travel throughout the assigned territory, approx 70% of the time, to call on existing and prospective customers to identify opportunities and solicit orders.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Analyze customers’ needs and recommend solutions that best meet the customers’ requirements.

  • Lead techno-commercial Negotiations, win Profitable Orders, routing the Orders thru’ company’s authorized Channel Partners.

  • Build and foster long term relationships with Customers & Channel Partners.

  • Consistently develop the Customer Base & enhance Market Penetration; find opportunities with machine builders, panel builders, system integrators, end-users and consultants. Plan promotional efforts, presentations and training sessions with Channel Partners

  • Apply nVent Equipment Protection go-to-market strategy for Enclosures and Cooling Units.

  • Devise, implement and apply a follow-up system and metrics to monitor success rate.

  • Provide necessary reports and surveys requested by the product management team. Manage and optimize processes to capture the voice of the customer

  • Promptly follow-up marketing leads and other customer-based actions. Enter new customer data and other relevant data for current customers into our database

  • Be an excellent teammate, by encouraging cross-functional collaboration by establishing relationships with: Product Management, R&D, Sales Operations, Head of Division and Marketing.

  • Formally provide input on pricing, delivery, and other sales influencing factors to the Regional Business Unit

  • Commercially manage sales margins for best return and business growth.

  • As other organizational needs arise, discuss & accept other responsibilities besides the ones listed in this document.

  • Inform your superior about all situations, developments, and occurrences which are important for the management or are requested by them, as well as about all upcoming decisions requiring approval.

YOU HAVE:

  • University Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Automation Engineering or Business Administration, possibly MBA

  • Ideally 10+ years’ experience in Sales & Marketing, with >8 years external Sales & marketing experience in a professional performance-focused business

  • Previous experience working for an International company (MNC)

  • Confirmed experience in growing top line sales through targeted individual sales activity

  • Previously managed large geographic territory

  • You are a skilled negotiator, with outstanding communication skills, with experience in leading large and key accounts!

  • Great abilities in Budget processing/forecasting/management reporting

  • You are always customer service oriented, a problem solver and a fast learner!
