Location: Remote

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Schedule: 40+ hours per week; Mon-Fri 0730-1630

Salary: $80k+ (dependent on experience and location)

Job Overview

Areli seeks an experienced and detail-oriented SMS Training Development Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and tracking change requests, conducting knowledge management interviews, and providing comprehensive training to the Enterprise - Sustainment Management System (E-SMS) community. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide E-SMS change management & monthly user training
  • Conduct knowledge management interviews to document and draft revisions to the Army E-SMS Implementation Guide, the Army I&A Guide, and update any training curriculum used in support of these documents. These revisions will be reviewed and published by HQDA G4.
  • Develop and deliver E-SMS monthly user training on E-SMS tools, features, implementation, development, and change management processes.
  • Provide a trip report following the SMS Change Management Program Review.
  • Deliver on-site training
  • Conduct all administrative and logistical tasks necessary to deliver on-site training for E-SMS users.
  • Deliver training to teach E-SMS users how to perform data entry of inventory & assessment data for buildings.
  • Coordinate site selection, user registration, distribution of digital curriculum materials, and delivery of training.
  • Provide agenda and curriculum to trainees and deliver comprehensive on-site training.
  • Provide a trip report following each on-site training session.
  • Update training curriculum
  • Deliver updated curriculum materials to ensure course content aligns with updates in E-SMS capabilities.
  • Incorporate user feedback from training sessions into course content and delivery.
  • Provide updated training curriculum materials, including approximately 20 slides per review.
  • Update the Inventory & Assessment Guide for Buildings with change logs and addenda.
  • Ensure training materials are suitable for instructor-led training and as stand-alone references.
  • Include a table of contents and practical exercises in training materials.
  • Align content with the E-SMS Inventory and Assessment Guide for buildings.
  • Provide troubleshooting instructions and government points-of-contact for resolving issues.
  • Conduct knowledge management interviews and provide meeting minutes and draft guidance.
  • Schedule and conduct bi-weekly “Sync and Sprint” meetings, providing meeting products and minutes.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience developing and delivering training.
  • 3+ years of experience using BUILDER.
  • Strong knowledge of policies and procedures for conducting BUILDER inspections.
  • Familiarity with the Army SMS community practices.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to pass and maintain a National Agency Check Investigation.
