Staff Accountant
Navolio & Tallman LLP is a recognized accounting firm offering a range of taxation, advisory, compliance, audit, and accounting services. They are seeking entry-level public accountants for their Reno office who are eager to learn and grow in a supportive environment. The role involves preparing tax returns, conducting research on tax issues, and performing audit procedures under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Prepare individual, fiduciary, partnership, not-for-profit, and corporate income tax returns under the direction and constructive feedback of supervisors
- Prepare tax projections to assist clients in minimizing taxes and determining quarterly estimated tax payments
- Research tax and accounting issues and effectively communicate the analysis and conclusion
- Perform audit, review, and compilation procedures and prepare financial statements with a general understanding of the underlying standards
Skills
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Accounting or Taxation
- Minimum 3.2 GPA
- Working towards or have already met the 150-semester unit requirement for CPA licensure, either under current or grandfathered standards, as applicable
- Exhibits flexibility in a fast-paced work environment
- A CPA license is a plus
