Experienced Customer Service Representative – Air Travel Industry

Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers, providing them with a warm and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive at the airport. You'll be responsible for handling a wide range of tasks, from checking in passengers to resolving issues and answering questions. If you're a people person with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide friendly and efficient service to customers at the ticket counter, baggage claim, and gate areas

  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Operate a modernized retail location system to manage check-in, baggage, and other customer transactions
  • Process payments, make change, and balance daily transactions
  • Review and inspect baggage and freight to ensure accuracy and security
  • Answer phone calls to provide information, page customers, resolve issues, and assist with other requests
  • Manage overbooked flights, delayed or cancelled flights, and other customer issues
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information on flight schedules, reservations, and other travel-related topics
  • Complete forms and reports as required by the organization
  • Write incident and complaint reports as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. hospitality, customer service, business administration)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to type or use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed to meet the needs of the job
  • Ability to understand records, follow procedures, learn and comprehend tagging systems, rules, and regulations
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, meet the public, and work under stressful circumstances
  • Ability to complete customer service training program with an 80% or higher average and pass a skills assessment
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to handle crises on a case-by-case basis
  • Ability to work under tight time constraints to achieve quick turnaround of flights
  • Ability to maintain a well-groomed appearance in accordance with the Ground Service Representative Handbook and Work Understanding
  • Ability to perform all job duties within a confined space
  • Ability to communicate verbally by phone, in person, and on public address systems effectively
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in customer service or a related field

  • Knowledge of airline operations and procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
  • Experience with computerized systems and software
