The Role

As a Customer Service Specialist at arenaflex, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our customers and clients. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Processing orders, verifying customer information, and providing timely and thorough communication with clients and customers
  • Overseeing a variety of customers, including complex cases, and escalating questions to supervisors as necessary
  • Grouping orders for largest truck loads to optimize cost savings and bracket pricing qualification
  • Requesting appointments for loads as needed and grouping and tripping customer pickup loads
  • Addressing potential order issues, gathering and tracking order details, and researching discrepancies
  • Collaborating with the supply chain team to mitigate inventory issues and participate in Hormel/Customer calls as scheduled
  • Providing feedback and insight, communicating regularly with management, and advising on critical issues or opportunities
  • Performing some training and vacation/out of office back-up duties

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in customer service, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to work independently, prioritize duties, and execute detailed work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications, with a focus on Excel, Outlook, and web browsers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
  • Familiarity with supply chain management and inventory control
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software and systems
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
