Job description: The Old Tappan Board of Education seeks a Supervisor of Instruction for Pupil Support Services. We are a PreK-8 district with two schools ? T. Baldwin Demarest Elementary School (PreK-4) and Charles DeWolf Middle School (5-8).
Qualifications:
- Master?s degree in special education and educational administration/leadership; demonstrated familiarity with special education law and regulations; supervisor certification or certificate of eligibility.
- Experience, as determined by the Board, in the areas of special education services, curriculum and instruction (ESL, G&T, and Intervention Programs) and supervision of staff.
- Broad knowledge of state and federal special education laws, regulations, procedures and reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively administer special education programs and to work with parents, community groups, and agencies.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Classroom/Teaching experience preferred.
- Required criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or resident alien status.

- Extensive knowledge of K-8 Special Education curriculum and instruction, assessment, evaluation, and technology
