Accounts Receivable Coordinator
Applied Systems is a worldwide leader in insurance technology, currently searching for an Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join their accounting team. The role involves processing accounts receivable activities, reconciling customer payments, and collaborating with the accounts receivable team while working primarily from home.
Responsibilities
- Applying customer payments to appropriate trade receivables in accounting system
- Reconciling customer payment activity to bank deposits
- Communicating and following up with customers
- Collaborating and working with the accounts receivable team including the team manager
- Reviewing accounts receivable aging
- Assist in special projects as needed
Skills
- Minimum 1-3 years of practical accounting/bookkeeping experience
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and other Microsoft products
- Understanding of core concepts related to collections including accounts receivable, cash application, customer communication, and management
- Working knowledge of basic accounting terminology and procedures
- An associate or bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred; however, we highly value equivalent professional experience and encourage candidates with a strong accounting background to apply
- Oracle NetSuite Experience
- Familiarity with accounting for foreign currencies such as the Canadian Dollar
