Key responsibilities

  • You will work on a day-to-day basis with our design, backend and testing team to build a Work on a day to day basis with backend, QA, DevOps, and product teams to build a scalable and maintainable cloud based product.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Java backend services and RESTful APIs using frameworks such as Spring Boot.
  • Integrate applications with AWS services (e.g., S3, RDS/DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
  • Contribute to the deployment pipeline using GitHub, including pull requests, code reviews, and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
  • Write clean, testable, and well documented code following team standards and best practices.
  • Implement and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues using logs and metrics (e.g., CloudWatch).
  • Participate in code reviews and actively contribute to improving coding standards, performance, and security.
  • Analyze and implement new features and system improvements.
  • Document technical solutions, workflows, and operational procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Professional experience developing applications in Java (Junior to Mid level).
  • Basic knowledge of cloud environments, preferably AWS.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs, relational and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with Git and collaborative development via pull requests.
  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively.
  • Motivation and willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
