Our Leadership Advisory Services team, consisting of executive assessment, coaching, and leadership development consulting, is critical to our integrated value proposition. The clarity and relevance of our assessment insights, combined with our high-touch, developmental approach, ensure we de-risk hiring decisions and accelerate the impact of leaders and leadership teams.

What You’ll Do As an MD in Leadership Advisory Services, you will play a fundamental role in shaping high-impact solutions for our clients. Your role will consist of three key areas:

Execution: You will deliver world-class executive assessment and coaching solutions to leaders in iconic organizations. Your impact will build trust, create traction, and expand Modern’s influence through exceptional execution.

Quality: You will support aligned executive search teams in embedding the latest assessment and coaching solutions for clients, bringing rigor, consistency, and quality to our work.

Growth: You will provide expertise to shape impactful solutions for new and existing clients, in partnership with Modern’s diverse team of industry, functional, and practice experts.

Education Required:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant academic field (e.g., I/O Psychology, Clinical Psychology)
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ICF accreditation for coaching; certification in assessment tools/psychometrics)

Skills:

  • Client management: Ability to manage complexity while guiding clients toward successful outcomes
  • Interviewing: Behavioral Event Interviewing (BEI) and competency-based interviewing
  • Feedback & coaching: Delivers feedback and coaching to a range of leadership audiences
  • Assessment expertise: Interprets complex assessment data and translates it into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences

Experience:

  • Experience in high-growth consulting and/or professional services environments
  • Assessment and coaching of mid- to senior-level executives
  • Account/client management, including leading the successful implementation of programs
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of tools, products, and services
  • Supporting or leading revenue-generating activities/business development
  • Building, maintaining, and expanding senior client relationships (including C-suite)
  • Cross-industry experience (minimum of two industries)

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of relevant principles and theories (e.g., industrial-organizational psychology), including assessment, selection, leadership development, executive coaching, leadership styles, and team dynamics
  • Familiarity with a variety of psychometric instruments
  • Strong commercial awareness
