Duration:

October 2024 through January 2025

Schedule:

20 hours total, with two 8-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, and an additional 4-hour shift scheduled for coverage during peak business hours

Job Description

As a Seasonal Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our valued clients and members. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Answering and tracking telephone calls

within established department standards

Tracking all existing member calls

within the IKA database, ensuring that documentation is concise and factual

  • Fully understanding all lines of business benefits, medical management processes, demographic change processes, and process for changing Primary Care Physicians (PCP)

Answering "entry level" claims inquiries

*

Taking "Over the Counter" (OTC) orders for products and diabetic supplies

*

Understanding and processing "entry level" enrollment and disenrollment procedures

*

Entering prospective members into our software database

*

Maintaining appropriate current source documents and reference documents

*

Interacting professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers

*

Working effectively as a team contributor on all assignments

* Working independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations

Customer Service

* Responsible for driving the arenaflex culture through values and customer service standards *

Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal contacts

*

Develops and maintains positive relationships through effective and timely communication

* Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner

Education, Experience, and Required Skills

*

Ability to read and interpret documents and calculate figures and amounts

*

Strong typing skills (40-60WPM)

* Ability to manage all customer questions/issues while maintaining the highest level of professionalism, provide thoughtful prompt resolution with empathy, poise a consistent voice with the ongoing goal of establishing a positive customer experience * Must be self-driven with a positive outlook and have the ability to demonstrate confidence, tact, patience, and diplomacy while dealing with customers * Ability to follow directions and complete tasks accurately as well as accept supervisory input and constructive criticism *

Ability to toggle between different systems to gather information and provide updates

Excellent oral and written communication skills including good grammar, voice and diction

*

Proficient in MS Office including basic computer and keyboarding skills

Excellent customer service skills (friendly, courteous, and helpful)

*

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

*

Minimum of six months to one-year related experience required

*

An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
