Owatonna Public Schools Position Summary: Ensure high levels of student learning through engaging, high quality virtual teaching. Educator is innovative and serves as a facilitator to students? learning. Educator will collaborate with colleagues, families, and all stakeholders to provide support virtually for students enrolled in the districts online school, Owatonna Online. Educator is able to build strong partnerships with adults supporting student learning, and responsive to student needs academically, socially, and emotionally. Educator will be a learner, problem solver, and engage in on-site professional development. Our online teachers can work remotely. There are a handful of dates that they are required to report (Workshop and staff development days) throughout the year. Long Term Substitute position: August 28 - November 3, 2023 This long term substitute position will be reassessed each quarter based on the number of students. Qualifications: Valid MN K-12 Special Education Teaching license is required. ABS license preferred. An Ideal candidate will have a solid background in equity, technology, and ensuring all students learn at high levels. Bi-lingual skills in Spanish or Somali desired.
