[Remote] Staff Accountant

CoHo Services is a resort property management company based in Beaverton, Oregon, seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their finance team. In this pivotal role, you will manage core accounting functions, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and support the preparation of financial statements for multiple entities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries for monthly financial statements
  • Prepare yearly property tax returns & monthly/quarterly transient tax returns
  • Generate monthly financial statements for multiple companies
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly
  • Prepare other financial reports as needed
  • Prepare fixed asset addition schedules
  • Assist in annual budget and forecasting process
  • Coordinate annual audit and tax work paper preparation
  • Coordinate insurance premium and worker’s compensation audits

Skills

  • Bachelor Degree in accounting
  • Minimum of one year of general ledger accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance at all times
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to receive and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to pay close attention to details in correspondence, reports and daily organization
