Job Summary

As a Database Analyst focusing on UPS data entry, you'll play a critical role in maintaining and updating our database with accurate and timely information related to UPS shipments and deliveries. You'll be responsible for investigating normal database issues, performing calamity recovery tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of our database systems. Key Responsibilities

* Investigate normal database issues and perform calamity recovery tasks to ensure the integrity and availability of our database systems

• Perform routine database support tasks, including file maintenance, backups (full, differential, and log backups), and SQL job scheduling
• Develop and implement database estimating and execution tuning practices to optimize database performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve database-related issues and improve database efficiency
• Provide excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in database management and analysis

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience and training

• 4+ years of experience in database analysis and management, with a focus on UPS data entry
• Strong knowledge of database concepts, including database design, normalization, and indexing
• Experience with SQL Server, including database administration, query optimization, and performance tuning
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS SQL services

• Ability to develop PowerShell scripts to automate database tasks and improve efficiency
• Experience with SQL AOG and database mirroring
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques, such as Tableau or Power BI
