As the Head of Stock Trading and Digital Assets, you will play a pivotal role in the management of the investment product business and development of the securities and digital asset related products and services. You will be responsible for understanding market trends, customer needs, and regulatory requirements to drive the strategic direction of securities and crypto products. Your primary goal is to ensure best-in-class customer experience in meeting the ever-evolving demands while achieving the various key performance indicators, particularly on business growth. You will act as the Executive Officer for the regulated activities including, but might not be limited to, dealing and advising in Securities.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Executive Office for Type 1 Dealing in Securities and Type 4 Advising in Securities regulated activities.
  • Develop comprehensive product strategy and execute product roadmap which aligns with the Bank’s wealth management business objectives.
  • Develop and manage a best-in-class wealth management UI/UX for customers including both active and casual investors.
  • Identify market opportunities, assess competitive landscape, and define product proposition to drive business growth initiatives maximizing active customer base and portfolio size.
  • Assess the Bank’s wealth management product capabilities and propose enhancement initiatives to meet the evolving demands of key stakeholders.
  • Work with various stakeholders for implementing investment business growth initiatives while ensuring platform resilience.
  • Develop robust tools and management information, drive concrete analytic insight to understand revenue dynamic and trends and proactively identify incremental new business potential by product offering and pricing strategies.
  • Manage daily operations, review and update policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external policies & regulations.
  • Ensure product due diligence work is completed timely with quality.
  • Work with Product Owner to prioritize development and meet delivery timeline for delivery of the best-in-class products/services to customers.
  • Monitor local and overseas regulations closely and ensure that operational processes have the appropriate controls in place to satisfy compliance, regulation, and internal policy requirements.
  • Manage third party relationships and ensure, on top of ongoing monitoring, all periodic reviews are completed on time.

Requirements

  • At least 12 years of solid product development experience in securities trading products, ideally in retail or private banks; experience in multiple investment products especially in digital assets would be a plus.
  • Current holders of SFC Types 1 & 4 regulated activities licenses.
  • Current, or previous, Executive Officer of SFC Tupe 1 and 4 regulated activities.
  • Degree holder in banking or finance; or any relevant discipline.
  • Experience in managing P&L, product and pricing strategy across investment products.
  • Experience in engaging with second line of defense such as Risk, Legal, and Compliance, as well as external parties such as the regulators on product development, risk control and governance matters.
  • Strong business acumen to drive product development and portfolio growth.
  • Sound knowledge of SFO, regulations and guidelines of relevant regulatory authorities (e.g. HKMA) and risk management.
  • Able to work with an agile mindset, independently & under pressure.
  • Mature, flexible, committed, detail-minded and a good team player.
  • Experience in building and delivery high-quality digital investment products and experiences is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese.
