Territory Sales Executive - Industrial Adhesives and Tapes

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Territory Sales Executive for the Industrial Adhesives & Tapes Division covering Ireland you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Promote, introduce, and sell the designated range of IATD products to end users, including product demonstrations to highlight key features and benefits, in order to achieve sales targets aligned with the IATD operating plan.

  • Build and maintain strong knowledge of the product range, competitor offerings, and key accounts within the territory.

  • Report any significant market or customer changes that may impact future business.

  • Identify, understand, and manage nominated key accounts, including relationship management with key contacts and generating new business opportunities.

  • Build and manage relationships with distributors, key accounts, end users, contractors, and engineering consultants, supporting a combined sales value of approximately $3.5m

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the CRM system, including sales visits, opportunities, and account activities.

  • Deliver training to distributor internal and external sales teams.

  • Continuously develop market knowledge, product expertise, application understanding, selling skills, and administrative capabilities. ​

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements:

  • Proven experience in Adhesives or Tapes sales, or a background in industrial sales with a strong track record of winning and retaining business.

  • Experience managing a sales territory with multiple product lines.

  • Driven, dynamic, and focused on delivering strong results. Self‑motivated with an enthusiastic and proactive approach.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.

  • Collaborative team player with a strong commitment to customer delivery.

  • Proficient in using CRM systems to manage a sales territory.

  • Ability to build strong relationships and operate effectively within a complex organisation.

  • Confident in constructively challenging others when needed.

  • IT literate, with solid proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite. ​

Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification is preferred but not essential

Job specifics:

  • Field based sales role covering the whole of Ireland to include Northern Ireland

  • Ideal candidate location - flexible location across Ireland

  • Travel expectations - May include up to 60%

  • Working pattern - full time
