FIRREA Compliant CRE Evaluations Analyst

Locations: Nationwide (Remote)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Evaluations Analyst to support our valuation and advisory platform by preparing independent, FIRREA-compliant evaluations of commercial real estate collateral. The ideal candidate understands regulatory requirements, property-level risk analysis, and market fundamentals across multiple property types.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare FIRREA-compliant commercial real estate evaluations for lending, credit, and portfolio management purposes.
  • Analyze income-producing and owner-occupied commercial properties including office, retail, industrial, multifamily, mixed-use, and special-purpose assets.
  • Perform market research and analysis, including rent comps, sales comps, cap rates, absorption trends, and market conditions.
  • Apply appropriate valuation methodologies (income, sales comparison, cost approaches) consistent with regulatory guidance.
  • Maintain adherence to Interagency Appraisal and Evaluation Guidelines, internal policies, and quality control standards.
  • Clearly document assumptions, conclusions, and risk considerations in written reports.
  • Meet established turnaround times while maintaining high-quality analytical standards.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-3+ years of experience in commercial real estate performing appraiser or non-appraiser evaluations
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and valuation analysis.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to concisely explain valuation concepts.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with CRE data sources (e.g., CoStar,) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • Prior experience within a financial institution, appraisal management company, or valuation advisory firm.

Nova Group’s good-faith estimate of the salary for this position at the time of posting is 45,000 – 90,000 USD. Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s experience, skills, education, location, production and other job-related variables.
