Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative – Union Benefits Specialist, you'll play a critical role in educating union members about the benefits available to them through their union affiliation. You'll work closely with our team to provide exceptional customer service, answer questions, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a real difference in the lives of union members.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional customer service to union members, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner

  • Educate union members about the benefits available to them through their union affiliation
  • Work closely with our team to provide support and guidance to union members
  • Collaborate with our sales team to identify opportunities for additional benefits and services
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of customer interactions and transactions
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics and goals, including customer satisfaction and sales targets

Requirements for Consideration

* Must reside in California

  • Flexible hours
  • Fluent in English (Bilingual in any language is a plus but not required)
  • Proven customer service skills and experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

  • 1-2 years of customer service experience in a call center or sales environment
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance metrics and goals
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in the labor union or credit union industry

  • Familiarity with benefits and insurance products
  • Bilingual in any language
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Certification in customer service or sales
