The Role

As a Customer Service Representative – Union Benefits Coordinator, you'll play a critical role in educating union members about the benefits available to them through their affiliation. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner. You'll also have the opportunity to work with our clients to identify additional benefits that may be of interest to them, but only if they express a desire to opt-in. No cold calling or sales pressure – just genuine, personalized service.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional customer service to union members, answering questions and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner

  • Educate union members about the benefits available to them through their affiliation
  • Work with clients to identify additional benefits that may be of interest to them (only if they express a desire to opt-in)
  • Collaborate with our team to resolve complex issues and provide creative solutions
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of client interactions
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices

Essential Qualifications

* 2+ years of experience in customer service or a related field

  • Proven leadership abilities and a self-motivated attitude
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Fluency in English (Bilingual in any language is a plus but not required)
  • MUST RESIDE IN CALIFORNIA

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working with labor unions, credit unions, or associations

  • Knowledge of benefits and insurance products
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Certification in customer service or a related field

Skills and Competencies

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
