Overview

As a Senior Software Developer, you will be part of the team that designs and develops microservices in a hybrid-cloud architecture as part of Precisely’s Data Integrity Suite, under the Integration part of the portfolio. You will be deeply involved in the design, development, and unit testing of the applications. You will collaborate with architects, UX experts, product managers, and other software developers for developing solutions. You are expected to be hands-on and up-to-date with the latest technology.

What you will do

  • End-to-end technical ownership of product features
  • Responsible for unit-level design, coding, unit testing, integration testing, and participating in the full SDLC
  • Participate/own technical designs, participate in discussions, constructively suggest and receive ideas & feedback for solutions
  • Collaborate with other team members, and work with cross-functional teams as required to design and develop innovative solutions according to requirements. The practice of peer reviewing code needs to be followed
  • Evaluate, learn, and incorporate new technologies into new and existing frameworks and solutions as applicable
  • Be agile and embrace change

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Back-end developer with 4-6 years of experience in the industry, involved in design and development of Java applications
  • At least 3-4 years of demonstrable experience with cloud technologies in a microservice architecture
  • Demonstrated expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Framework
  • Experience writing and consuming REST APIs in building scalable, modern web applications
  • Good knowledge of CI/CD processes, and knowledge of Jira, Git, Gradle, and Artifactory
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Hands-on experience with traditional relational databases (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL), cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks), and streaming technologies such as Kafka
  • Knowledge of database connectivity using JDBC and/or ODBC
  • Knowledge of Db2 for IBM i and/or Db2 for z/OS a plus
  • Familiarity with Change Data Capture a plus
  • Experience using tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude Code
  • Knowledge of AI agents and MCP servers
  • Familiarity with spec-driven development (SDD) a plus
