JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an Applied AI Scientist to lead the research, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning and AI systems that power Claritev’s next generation of healthcare products.
This is a hands-on role ideal for an early-career scientist who is excited to apply machine learning and AI to real-world problems. You will work closely with senior scientists, engineers, and product teams to build, test, and deploy models that improve healthcare workflows, enhance decision-making, and reduce costs.
In this role, you will contribute to the design and implementation of predictive and generative AI solutions while developing your technical skills and gaining experience working with large-scale healthcare data in production environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: AI & Machine Learning Development
- Assist in the development, testing, and deployment of machine learning and AI models.
- Support the implementation of predictive, generative, and optimization models for healthcare use cases.
- Contribute to data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
Applied Research & Experimentation
- Conduct experiments and analyze results to improve model performance.
- Assist in evaluating new AI techniques, including generative AI and agent-based systems.
- Participate in prototyping and testing new approaches under guidance from senior team members.
Product & Business Impact
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to help translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Support the development of AI-driven features and insights for healthcare applications.
- Contribute to documenting results and communicating findings to stakeholders.
Engineering & Production Support
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Assist in deploying models and supporting production systems.
- Help monitor model performance and data quality over time.
Collaboration & Learning
- Work closely with applied scientists, data scientists, engineers, and product managers.
- Actively seek feedback and continuously improve technical and domain knowledge.
- Contribute to a collaborative and knowledge-sharing team environment.
Governance & Compliance
- Follow best practices for data privacy, security, and responsible AI.
- Support model validation and documentation efforts.
