Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our remote data entry team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for performing various services, including data entry, provider/patient/third-party outreach, claim adjudication, prior authorizations, and more. Your primary focus will be on ensuring customer satisfaction by providing prompt, professional, and friendly service to our patients and customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Follow company policies and procedures, including register performance, security issues, and confidentiality.
- Assist the pharmacist by receiving new written or electronic prescriptions or refill requests, verifying accuracy and completeness of patient information, and ensuring proper billing and labeling.
- Access, input, and retrieve patient and prescription information into and from the computer, efficiently and accurately billing insurance and generating labels for medications.
- Complete third-party claims adjudication, addressing rejections in a timely manner and making necessary provider and third-party calls.
- Maintain effective communication with staff regarding data entry processes, denied claims, and daily progress.
- Develop courteous and professional relationships with patients, customers, and co-workers.
- Work with the pharmacist to ensure proper Medicare DMEPOS paperwork is complete, provide appropriate product to the customer, and maintain accurate billing records.
- Ensure all controlled substance dispensing rules are followed (MMEs, PDMP, date of last fill).
- Conduct patients, provider, and third-party outreach calls as necessary.
- Assist stores in completion of MTMs and data collection.
- Assist RDOs to complete tasks as necessary for the Operations team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

- Minimum of 3 years pharmacy technician experience
- Extensive knowledge of arenaflex's pharmacy management system (PMS) is required
- Missouri Board of Pharmacy licensed Pharmacy Technician
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to be self-motivated
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills or the ability to use resources to resolve issues
Education and/or Experience
* High school diploma or GED; strong science background; knowledge of the metric system and good math skills; familiarity with pharmacy terminology, medication names, and aseptic techniques desirable; current national pharmacy technician certification required.
- Minimum of 3 years of Retail Pharmacy Technician experience required.
Board of Pharmacy Registration
Pharmacy technicians must be registered with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy.
