Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Data Entry Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Data Entry Specialist, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our company databases and computer systems. Your primary responsibilities will include collecting and entering data, verifying information, and maintaining accurate records. Key Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Specialist with arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

  • Verifying and logging receipt of data to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Transcribing source data into the required electronic format using various software applications
  • Transferring information from paper formats into computer files using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners
  • Performing high-volume data entry using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or other computer software
  • Verifying the integrity of data by comparing it to source documents
  • Reviewing data for errors, missing pages, or missing information and resolving any discrepancies
  • Maintaining a filing system and protecting confidential customer information
  • Performing regular backups to ensure data preservation
  • Responding to requests to retrieve data from the database or electronic filing system
  • Using basic office equipment, such as photocopy machines and facsimile machines
  • Maintaining a satisfactory level of quality and productivity per department standards
  • Completing additional assigned tasks as required
  • Preparing, compiling, and sorting documents for data entry

Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you'll need to possess:

  • Proven data entry work experience, preferably in a similar role or as an Office Clerk
  • Experience with MS Office and data programs, such as Excel and Access
  • Familiarity with administrative duties and office equipment, including fax machines and scanners
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy, with a focus on attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Organization skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset:

  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data storage and management systems
  • Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools
  • Certification in data entry or a related field
  • Experience working with diverse data formats and systems
