About The Role: This is a CONTRACT POSITION. The Senior Engineer –Integrations will spearhead our newly formed integrations team in developing a cutting-edge framework that powers Rev.io's flagship PSA application and product suite. In this role, you will architect comprehensive integration solutions, mentor a team of engineers, and proactive communication. While integrations remain a key focus, the emphasis will be on designing scalable, event-driven data synchronization solutions and building reusable integration components that connect Rev.io's PSA platform with third-party systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and Implement Integration Solutions: Design and develop scalable, code-native integrations on an iPaaS platform, building reusable components and orchestrating bidirectional data sync across multiple third-party systems.
  • Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of 3 engineers, accountability, and clear, effective communication.
  • Develop Data Integrations: Design and develop robust bidirectional sync integrations with third-party systems (accounting, CRM, RMM, calendar, and communication platforms), leveraging API orchestration, webhook-driven event processing, and configurable data transformation logic.
  • Build Reusable Components: Design and maintain custom connector components (TypeScript) that abstract third-party API complexity and are consumed across multiple integrations.
  • Establish Best Practices: Define and enforce best practices for integration design, development, documentation, and open team communication.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with product managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives through transparent and proactive communication.
  • Oversee Project Delivery: Manage end-to-end delivery of integration projects, ensuring timely completion and accountability at every stage.
  • Drive Innovation: Lead initiatives to innovate integration strategies and technologies, continuously improving sync reliability, component reusability, and platform capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of software development experience with a focus on building and operating integrations—API orchestration, webhook-driven workflows, scheduled syncs, and reliable bidirectional data synchronization across third-party systems.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong programming skills in TypeScript (preferred). Experience building code-native integrations on iPaaS platforms such as Prismatic and/or Workato. Familiarity with .NET/C# or Python is a plus, but not required.
  • Integration Engineering Skills: Strong understanding of integration patterns and data synchronization concepts, including field mapping, idempotency, rate limiting/retries, OAuth2/auth flows, webhook handling, and cross-flow state management.
  • Integration Technologies: Working knowledge of RESTful APIs, SOAP, JSON, XML, and other integration methods—complemented by hands-on experience with iPaaS platforms like Workato, MuleSoft, or Prismatic.
  • Enterprise Systems Familiarity: Experience with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, or similar CRM/ERP platforms.
  • Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking: Exceptional analytical skills to address complex integration challenges.
  • Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated excellence in leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, proactive, clear communication.
  • AI Fundamentals & Application: Demonstrated experience applying AI/LLM capabilities (e.g., prompt design, evaluation, and safe use of generated code) to accelerate integration development—such as generating/validating API clients, mapping logic, tests, and troubleshooting sync issues. Familiarity with tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Windsurf is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker; Kubernetes a plus).
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and iterative delivery practices.
  • Experience in the telecommunications or SaaS industry.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to build a critical framework that powers Rev.io's future.
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Professional development and continuous learning opportunities.
