Temporary Attorney (IV)

Erickson Immigration Group has a career opportunity for an experienced Temporary Attorney (IV) to join our expanding team in a fully remote capacity. EIG offers a competitive salary, excellent employee benefits, and ample opportunity for professional growth. This is a fully remote role that will last for approximately one month.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct first review of PERM applications, I-140s (PERM-based, Extraordinary Ability, and Multinational Manager), and I-148s.

  • Draft, review and/or revise petitions/applications, PERM Labor Certification audit responses and RFEs for filing with USCIS.

  • Draft and prepare letters and legal documents, typically based on established precedents.

  • Assess and evaluate client’s immigrant visa eligibility.

  • Utilize web-based immigration case management systems and database continuously and accurately.

Qualification Requirements

  • 3-5 years of business immigration attorney work experience

  • U.S. Juris Doctor degree (J.D.)

  • Member of a state bar and in good standing with the associated state bar association

  • Ability to manage complex case strategies with company contacts and clients

  • Understanding of nuanced and complex immigration law concepts.

  • Ability to review Paralegal work product carefully and promptly

  • Effective written and verbal communications skills, as appropriate for the needs of the audience (clients, governmental agencies, internal and external resources)

  • Logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, and approaches to problems

  • Strong organizational & time management skills, with the ability to prioritize

  • Ability to generate work product with considerable accuracy and attention to detail

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service 

  • Outstanding case/project management skills

  • Works well in a team environment

  • Accepts and adapts to feedback regarding work performance 

  • Fluency of the English language in both written and verbal forms

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; and Case Management Systems – Salesforce (Litify), VisaTrax/INS Zoom and other Document Management Systems.
