Quality Assurance Manager

IQVIA | Australia & New Zealand (Flexible Location) Full-time | Permanent

IQVIA is a global leader in healthcare intelligence and clinical research, combining data, technology and scientific expertise to help customers drive healthcare forward. We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead and coordinate quality activities across customer accounts, functional teams and quality management systems at a regional and/or global level.

This role suits a pragmatic quality professional who enjoys partnership, influence and developing strong quality culture. Relevant industry experience is valued but not essential—we are particularly interested in candidates who bring strong judgement, communication skills and a collaborative leadership approach.

Role Overview

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing assigned Quality Assurance (QA) programs, supporting compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will provide insight and guidance to management and operational teams, manage QA oversight across projects and audits, and play a key role in training and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance, interpretation and support on regulations, guidelines, corporate standards and policies
  • Partner with operational and development teams to assess compliance, risks and improvement opportunities
  • Oversee documentation, reporting and closure of quality and compliance issues
  • Organise and deliver quality‑related training, including GxP and QA framework education
  • Track and ensure appropriate follow‑up of major and critical audit findings
  • Review and assess policies and procedures, recommending improvements to enhance quality and efficiency
  • Author and maintain Quality Assurance SOPs as assigned
  • Advise QA leadership on system audit needs and priorities
  • Maintain QA databases to ensure accurate audit, reporting and follow‑up status
  • Host and support customer audits, mock inspections and regulatory inspections

About You

You are a confident communicator and trusted advisor who can influence across functions and seniority levels. You are solutions‑focused, comfortable managing ambiguity, and able to balance compliance expectations with business realities.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Commercial Patient Support experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Quality Assurance or a related quality/compliance environment
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and regulatory expectations
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder‑management skills
  • Strong problem‑solving, risk assessment and decision‑making capability
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience within pharmaceutical, healthcare, technical or regulated environments
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical research and development processes
  • Experience delivering training or coaching others

Why IQVIA

  • Flexible location across ANZ
  • Opportunity to influence quality practices at regional and global levels
  • Supportive, inclusive and high‑performing culture
  • Exposure to industry‑leading healthcare programs and clients
  • Clear opportunities for professional growth and development
