SAP Production Planning Consultant

Overview: The SAP Production Planning Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining effective SAP production planning and related processes. This role focuses on configuring and optimizing production planning modules, including material requirements planning, capacity planning, and cross-functional integration with other systems. The consultant works to ensure that production schedules, material availability, and reporting mechanisms meet organizational needs, while also being a key resource for troubleshooting, process improvement, and strategic planning. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and support SAP production planning processes, ensuring that production schedules and material requirements align with business demands.
• Manage and optimize SAP Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes to maintain accurate planning data and improve production efficiency.
• Develop capacity planning strategies, set up configurations, and monitor production resource utilization to address bottlenecks and reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate SAP production planning with other modules, such as Materials Management and Sales Distribution, ensuring seamless data flow and operational coordination.
• Generate and analyze reports to track key production metrics, identify areas for improvement, and support decision making.
• Provide expert consulting and support for handling seasonal fluctuations, urgent/unplanned production orders, and custom product requests.
• Address issues such as equipment breakdowns, production delays, or material shortages by developing practical and proactive solutions.
• Demonstrate strong logical reasoning and analytical skills to assess problems and propose efficient SAP-based solutions.
• Communicate effectively in English to articulate technical details and collaborate with diverse teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven proficiency in SAP Production Planning, including hands-on experience with configuration, integration, and process optimization.
• Solid understanding of related SAP modules and how they interact with production planning and materials management.
• Ability to analyze production data, generate meaningful reports, and utilize these insights for continuous process improvement.
• Strong problem-solving capability, with aptitude for logical reasoning and strategic planning.
• Excellent communication skills, especially in English, to clearly convey technical information and recommendations.
• Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders and managing production challenges in dynamic environments.
