About the Fleet Analytics Team

The Fleet Analytics team is a vital part of arenaflex's product development process. We're responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing vast amounts of data from our vehicles, Superchargers, and energy storage systems. Our team works closely with engineers across various disciplines to provide them with the insights they need to make informed decisions about product development, optimization, and maintenance.

Job Responsibilities

As a full stack software engineer on our Fleet Analytics team, you'll be responsible for:

• Working with stakeholders to develop and maintain complex software systems that leverage tool data at arenaflex
• Providing guidance to arenaflex's data engineering and data science network on best practices
• Collaborating with engineers to drive the adoption of software packages and tools
• Writing reproducible data analysis code using modern open-source technologies
• Summarizing and communicating data analysis assumptions and results
• Building data pipelines to optimize the performance and accuracy of analysis work across the company
• Designing and implementing metrics, packages, and tools to enable engineers to self-serve their data insights
• Writing clean and tested code that can be maintained and extended by other software engineers

What You'll Bring

To be successful in this role, you'll need to bring the following skills and experience:

• 7+ years of software development experience in an associated field
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with data processing engines like Apache Spark
• Experience with data science tools like Pandas, NumPy, R, Matlab, Octave
• Experience building data pipelines, web applications, and devices learning models in a professional environment
• A strong foundation in statistics
• Experience building data visualizations
• Experience writing software in a professional environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills to help refine problem statements and determine how to solve them with the available data and from first principles
• Smart but humble, with a bias for action

Nice to Have

While not required, the following skills and experience would be a plus:

• Strong proficiency in Scala
• Understanding of distributed computing, i.e., how HDFS, Spark, and Presto work
• Experience with devops tools - e.g., Linux, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience with complex hardware systems
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous development
