Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team at arenaflex. As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, interact with customers, and develop strong patient relationships. You'll also be responsible for data entry, inventory management, and other clerical duties. Key Responsibilities

* Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including filling prescriptions, verifying medication, and checking for potential interactions

  • Interact with customers, develop strong patient relationships, and provide exceptional customer service
  • Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, fill prescriptions, and manage inventory
  • Perform data entry, including registering all related revenue on assigned cash register and collecting and handling coins as required
  • Assist with stock management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of prescription drugs
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly pharmacy department, including ensuring sufficient supplies and adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Comply with all company guidelines and procedures, including maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers and completing assigned tasks and responsibilities

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; pharmacy technician certification or registration preferred

  • Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred
  • Previous work experience with arenaflex a plus
  • Excellent math skills, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of pharmacy systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with customers and coworkers in a professional and respectful manner

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a related field

  • Knowledge of pharmacy inventory management and data entry procedures
  • Familiarity with arenaflex's pharmacy systems and software
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills a plus

Education and Personal Development

* Earn and maintain PTCB certification through arenaflex's unique training program and/or state required certification/registration

  • Attend training and complete PPLs as assigned by manager and acquire continuing education credits
  • Maintain expertise and knowledge in healthcare and pharmacy, including staying up-to-date on the latest information and developments
  • Through completion of arenaflex's pharmacy technician apprenticeship program, experience qualifies for 8 (8) college credit hours as recognized by the American Council on Education (ACE)
