Buyer (Technology and Software)

This role partners with the various internal stakeholders through the entire contracting process, including requirements planning, Request for Quote (RFQ) process, agreement reviewing, negotiating and management of routine to complex vendor agreement and work orders. This role will be required to follow all company policies and procedures and maintain compliant procurement folders, spend analytics and other relevant metrics. Performs other assignments, as required. 

  • Works with internal stakeholders to develop category plans, included but not limited to: software subscriptions, hardware supplies, technology purchases, consulting services, demand generation providers, logistics; 

  • Keeps informed of current technology trends, best practices, contracting and licensing models; 

  • Coordinates with internal customers, legal and governance to review and develop requirements and assists in developing the most efficient RFP and procurement process ; 

  • Leads supplier negotiations with support from internal stakeholders to obtain the best value for PROS; 

  • Reviews contract language, negotiates prices and other commercial terms and conditions; 

  • Manages supplier relationships and troubleshoots issues; 

  • Follows Procurement policies and procedures; 

  • Documents procurement files in accordance with company Procurement policies and procedures. 

Required Qualifications: 

We are looking for candidates who possess the rare combination of the following achievements, skills and behaviors: 

  • 3 or more years of experience in a related field; 

  • Bachelor's Degree Required in IT, Engineering, Finance or Business Administration. Master’s degree is a plus; 

  • You’re knowledgeable in industry-standard technologies, contracting models and industry trends for the teams and commodities mentioned above; 

  • You have excellent analytical and critical thinking skills; 

  • You exhibit a high level of motivation, attention to detail, energetic approach to job duties and requirements; 

  • You’re a self-starter with a high degree of organization skills; 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; 

  • Proficiency in English; 

  • You have a global mindset, with a sensitivity to and willingness to work across cultures and time zones; 

  • You’re able to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
