Job Summary

As a Customer Contact Center Representative, you will play a vital role in supporting student borrowers with their questions and concerns. You will be responsible for providing accurate, timely, and empathetic responses to customer inquiries, processing applications, and resolving emerging issues. Key Responsibilities

* Respond to incoming calls, use chat, and complete outbound calls to assist customers with answering frequent questions, providing detailed information, and processing applications

  • Practice active listening, empathy, and clear communication to ensure a positive and professional customer experience
  • Navigate various systems, including pre-scripted responses, to provide basic general and claims-specific information
  • Assist callers with filling out their application and submitting it electronically to plan providers for processing
  • Complete basic call logs, documentation, and related call details for each phone inquiry
  • Follow established and documented policies and standard operating procedures, including working within various systems, timekeeping, and adhering to ethics and privacy rules

Schedule

* Monday: 11:45am-8:15pm

  • Tuesday: 10:45am-7:15pm
  • Wednesday: 10:45am-7:15pm
  • Thursday: 8:45am-5:15pm
  • Friday: 8:45am-5:15pm

Preferred Skills

* High School diploma or equivalent required

  • Ability to speak and read English clearly, professionally, and fluently
  • Typing speed of at least 35 WPM
  • Experience working with a personal computer and the Windows operating system
  • Ability to effectively work within established key performance indicators/metrics
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized while completing simultaneous tasks

Requirements

* Ability to navigate various systems and browsers

  • Excellent written/verbal/interpersonal communication skills sufficient to communicate and interact effectively with customers and co-workers
  • Knowledge of contact center technology
  • Strong computer skills with proficiencies in Excel and Word
  • Excellent command of the English language, effective use of grammar skills
  • Excellent communication etiquette
  • Great customer service skills, including personalization, competence, patience, politeness, and initiative-taking
