PROJECT OVERVIEW Our client is a global leader in maritime technology, backed by over 260 years of industry experience. Their mission is to transform maritime operations through a powerful digital platform that connects people, data, and workflows across every vessel and voyage—reducing risk, improving safety, and enabling sustainable growth worldwide. We are looking for an experienced BI Team Lead to drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will lead a team of BI developers and analysts, design scalable data solutions, and deliver high-impact dashboards and insights to business stakeholders. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL Lead, mentor, and manage a team of BI developers and analysts; Design and implement end-to-end BI solutions and data architectures; Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI; Build and optimize data models for performance, scalability, and usability; Write efficient and complex queries using SQL (Azure SQL, PostgreSQL); Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into analytical solutions; Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across all reporting layers; Monitor and improve BI system performance and data pipelines; Drive best practices in data visualization, modeling, and reporting; (Optional) Utilize Python for advanced analytics, automation, or data processing; (Nice to have) Experience working with Apache Superset for data visualization. IF YOU ARE 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence / Data Analytics; 1–2+ years of experience in a leadership or team lead role; Strong expertise in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data visualization best practices); Solid experience in data modeling (star schema, snowflake schema, normalization); Advanced proficiency in SQL (Azure SQL, PostgreSQL); Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes; Experience working with large and complex datasets; Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
