$40 - $70/hour Role Overview: One of our clients, a global leader in the technology industry, requires a Data Protection Officer (PII Compliance) to oversee the implementation and management of PII compliance protocols, ensuring the protection and lawful processing of personal data. This is a contract role that involves working in a dynamic, remote environment to safeguard sensitive information. As a Data Protection Officer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining adherence to global regulations and balancing data utility and re-identification risks. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the implementation and management of PII compliance protocols, ensuring the protection and lawful processing of personal data.
• Evaluate data flows and documentation to identify, classify, and mitigate risks associated with structural identifiability, including non-obvious PII and proprietary information.
• Develop and maintain data protection policies and procedures to ensure compliance with global regulations, such as GDPR.
• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to ensure the integrity and security of personal data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data protection best practices and provide training on PII compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in PII compliance and data protection, with a strong understanding of global regulations, such as GDPR.
• Expertise in data management, data privacy, and compliance, with the ability to evaluate data flows and identify risks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective data protection policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and provide training on PII compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
