Medical Assistant OB/GYN (Float to multiple sites)

Allina Health System is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our OB/GYN team as a Float, providing support to various sites within our network. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with patients and providers, assisting with a wide range of clinical and administrative tasks. Provide compassionate care to patients in the OB/GYN department, building strong relationships and ensuring their comfort and well-being. Perform a variety of clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs, administering injections, and assisting with procedures, under the supervision of a provider. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting all patient interactions and procedures in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with patient education and counseling, ensuring that they have a thorough understanding of their condition and treatment plan. Coordinate and schedule appointments, tests, and procedures for patients, ensuring efficient and timely care. Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and other healthcare team members, both verbally and in writing. Collaborate with other Medical Assistants and support staff to ensure smooth and seamless patient care across multiple locations. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, maintaining a clean and sterile environment for patients and staff. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, making suggestions for process improvements and actively seeking opportunities to enhance patient care. Attend training and educational sessions to stay up-to-date with new procedures, technologies, and best practices in women's health.
