About the position 14490 – Network Administrator/Engineer (hybrid) – Miami, FL Start Date : ASAP Type: Temporary Project Estimated Duration : 12+ months with possible extensions Work Setting: The position is onsite and may include hybrid work. Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration. Our client is hiring a Network Engineer and a Network Administrator. Network Engineer Required: Availability to work onsite at the Client’s site in Miami, FL (required); Experience in IT infrastructure/network environments performing network engineering (hardware and/or software), design, planning and implementation (3+ years). Experience with network systems of moderate complexity, including wireless, communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission links, and protocols. Experience in integrating and documenting complete network configurations and technical standards. Experience with evaluating new network products, resolving network issues, monitoring protocol compatibility, and performing system tuning. Experience in supporting network planning, architecture engineering, and resource requirement identification. Experience working on medium‑to‑high complexity network projects as a team member and occasionally as a team lead. Experience in mentoring or coaching junior technical staff. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Assist in planning, forecasting, and implementing network systems—including wireless—of moderate complexity. Participate in network planning, architecture design, and engineering activities across multiple projects. Integrate and document complete network configurations, including architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission links, and protocols. Evaluate new network products, troubleshoot issues, and support problem resolution to maintain system reliability. Contribute to the development and documentation of technical standards, interface applications, and network design artifacts. Monitor protocol compatibility, perform system tuning, and recommend improvements for network performance and optimization. Work as a project team member or occasional team lead, providing guidance to junior technical staff as needed Network Administrator: Required: Availability to work onsite at the Client’s site in Miami, FL (required); Experience with network operations, support, maintenance, and administration in infrastructure/network environments (3+ years). Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining LAN, WAN, and wireless network devices (routers, hubs, multiplexers) using remote monitoring tools. Experience in installing and configuring workstations, networked devices, user accounts, access permissions, and security controls (passwords, resource usage, file archiving). Experience with resolving network equipment issues and supporting daily network operations across medium‑to‑high complexity systems. Experience with selecting, integrating, and implementing network management applications for Internet and internal network components. Experience working on network projects as a team member and occasionally as a project lead, including configuration and optimization tasks Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless network devices including routers, hubs, and multiplexers using remote monitoring tools. Install, configure, and support workstations, networked devices, and user access—including onboarding, offboarding, and authorization management. Manage network security tasks such as password protection, usage monitoring, file archiving, and handling malfunctioning equipment. Select, integrate, and implement network management applications for Internet and internal network components. Perform daily network operations, maintenance, and administration activities across medium‑to‑high complexity systems. Participate as a project team member or occasional project lead on network-related initiatives, ensuring configuration and optimization standards are met. Provide guidance to junior technical staff and contribute to documentation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of network systems.
