Virtual Extensive Support Needs Educator

Summary

Virtual educator delivering instruction to mild to moderate/extensive support needs students in California through live-streaming on district virtual platforms. Partner with in-class facilitators to ensure student engagement and course completion. Responsibilities: Teach district curriculum via virtual platform, attend professional development and faculty meetings, record student progress, create lesson plans aligned with class curriculum, and track student grades and performance. Skills: Virtual classroom instruction and student engagement, curriculum development and lesson planning, proficiency with district virtual platforms, strong communication and relationship-building with students and co-facilitators, and reliable technology setup (laptop, webcam, headset, internet). Qualifications: Valid California Support Needs Certification required with minimum 3 years of professional educator experience; Bachelor's Degree from accredited college/university; prior online teaching experience is a plus. Must be authorized to work in the United States and pass background check. Location: Remote - San Jose, California Compensation: $300 – $325/day Daily Rate: $300-325; rates are negotiable and subject to change Fully Remote, 1099 Contract Opportunity Mild to Moderate Support Needs/Extensive Support Needs California certification is required. SEIS knowledge is highly preferred Schedule: 7:30am-3:30pm PST LiveScan Fingerprinting will be required, and must live near a LiveScan location or be willing to drive to one. Teach the curriculum of the school on district virtual platform, attend district PD + faculty meetings, record student progress, and partner with in class facilitator who is physically in class with students. • Must be authorized to work in the United States and currently hold a valid Support Needs Certification in California.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a professional educator
• Must have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university.
• Laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and reliable internet access.
• Participate in a virtual skills teaching demonstration + submit a background check as part of the application process.
• Prior online teaching experience is a plus!
