Senior Health and Safety Compliance Manager

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Health and Safety Compliance Manager to join their fully remote team. This vital role ensures that all company operations adhere to stringent health, safety, and environmental regulations. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs and policies across all company activities. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and other relevant compliance requirements. In this remote-first position, you will conduct regular risk assessments, develop corrective action plans, and provide expert guidance to management and employees on safety matters. Your responsibilities will include overseeing safety training programs, conducting site audits (virtually and/or coordinating local resources), and investigating incidents to identify root causes and prevent recurrence. You will also manage all required regulatory reporting and maintain accurate safety records. The ability to communicate complex safety information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences is essential. This role demands exceptional leadership, analytical skills, and a proactive approach to risk management. You will be a key player in fostering a strong safety culture throughout the organization, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees, regardless of their location. Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive health and safety programs and policies. Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA). Conduct regular risk assessments and identify potential workplace hazards. Develop and implement corrective action plans to mitigate risks. Oversee and coordinate safety training programs for all employees. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, determining root causes and implementing preventive measures. Maintain accurate records of safety training, inspections, and incident reports. Prepare and submit all required regulatory reports. Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices in health and safety. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH) strongly preferred. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in health and safety management, with a focus on regulatory compliance. In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety regulations. Proven experience in developing and implementing effective safety programs. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
