HVAC Installer / Service Technician

We are seeking a Remote HVAC Installer / Service Technician Support Specialist to provide expert technical assistance, troubleshooting, and service coordination for HVAC systems from a remote setting. The ideal candidate will have strong HVAC experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to guide field teams and customers to effective solutions without being physically present onsite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for HVAC systems via phone, email, or virtual communication tools.
  • Assist field technicians with diagnostics, installation guidance, and problem resolution.
  • Review customer service requests and coordinate with dispatch to assign field technicians.
  • Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic data to offer accurate solutions.
  • Track remote service interactions and update work orders, logs, and customer records.
  • Educate customers and field staff on proper HVAC system operation and maintenance.
  • Follow up on service cases to ensure issues are resolved and customers are satisfied.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve overall service delivery and technical documentation.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of HVAC installation/service experience.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and diagnostics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • Proficiency with computers, HVAC diagnostic tools, and CRM or service management software.
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated remote work environment.

Preferred:

  • EPA 608 Certification (or equivalent).
  • Prior experience supporting technicians remotely.
  • Customer service experience.

  • Technical problem-solver with strong HVAC knowledge.
  • Calm and clear communicator, especially over phone/video.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills.
  • Comfortable teaching or guiding others.
  • Team player who collaborates well with field personnel and office staff.
