About You

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Answering incoming calls from healthcare providers, veterans, and beneficiaries in a timely and professional manner
  • Gathering required information from callers and client systems to make determinations
  • Conducting research and evaluating medical claims and benefits for proper adjudication
  • Documenting call activity and making requests for corrective action into VA systems
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of applicable VA regulations as they relate to 72-hour notification requirements
  • Acting as an effective team member and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1-2 years' experience in customer service preferred
  • General office skills and knowledge of standard office equipment
  • Working knowledge of software such as Excel and Word
  • Data entry and 10-key experience necessary
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Personal traits of a high-level commitment, motivation, energy, team orientation, professionalism, trust, personal honesty, and integrity
