Position Summary

As a Customer Service Representative I Healthcare, you will be responsible for responding to telephone inquiries from consumers and corresponding documentation. You will accurately maintain files of all patient account profile information and referral source data, ensuring that customer satisfaction is consistently high. You will also schedule consultations for telesales agents, demonstrating excellent customer service and listening skills.

Key Responsibilities

* Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner

  • Set up consultations for telesales agents and take messages and pass along feedback as needed
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and listening skills, ensuring that customer satisfaction is consistently high
  • Accurately maintain files of all patient account profile information and referral source data
  • Data entry and strong computer skills required, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Basic alpha-numeric data entry skills with attention to accuracy and quality is essential

Minimum Job Requirements

* Minimum of 1 year in a customer service or call center environment (call center type environments preferred)

  • High School diploma or GED

Preferred Job Requirements

* Effective and empathetic communication style in managing inbound calls and communications with clients and team members

  • Computer experience is required with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Basic alpha-numeric data entry skills with attention to accuracy and quality is essential
  • Experience in a healthcare setting or insurance industry is a plus, including knowledge of basic insurance and third-party terms and medical terminology
  • Ability to work with people in a team environment while meeting individual performance goals
  • Must be able to read and interpret policies, procedures, and instructions
  • Effective organizational skills and ability to prioritize a fluctuating workload and competing priorities is essential

Education

* High School diploma or GED
