Job Overview
We're seeking an experienced Data Entry Technician to join our remote team. As a Data Entry Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our laboratory and customer teams by providing professional-level support and ensuring the smooth flow of data and samples. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are detail-oriented, organized, and possess excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Receive and open packages and client sample drop-offs in a timely and efficient manner
- Accurately enter all data into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) with a high level of attention to detail
- Facilitate sample information flow between laboratory and customer service staff to ensure seamless communication
- Label all sample containers accurately and efficiently
- Prepare bottle orders and ship them to clients in a timely manner
- Confirm receipt of shipped samples and packages to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Order supplies and distribute orders to the laboratory staff in a timely and efficient manner
- Neutralize and dispose of samples in accordance with arenaflex safety and waste disposal procedures
Requirements
* High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Working knowledge of computers, software applications, and other technology
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and communication skills
- Organization skills and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Self-directed and outcome-oriented
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to wear all PPE required for the position
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous experience in a data entry or laboratory setting
- Knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
- Experience with sample handling and preparation
- Certification in a related field (e.g. laboratory technology, data management)
