As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, from police departments and firefighters to teachers and postal workers.

The Role

As a Customer Service Representative – Union Benefits Specialist, you'll play a critical role in educating members about the benefits available to them through their union affiliation. Your primary responsibility will be to provide accurate and timely information to members who request benefits information, and to support their decision-making process. In some cases, you may also have the opportunity to sell additional benefits to members who are interested in upgrading their coverage.

Key Responsibilities

* Respond to member inquiries and provide accurate and timely information about benefits available through union affiliation

  • Educate members about the benefits and services offered by arenaflex
  • Support members in making informed decisions about their benefits coverage
  • Sell additional benefits to members who are interested in upgrading their coverage (optional)
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve member issues and concerns
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of member interactions and benefits information

Requirements for Consideration

* Flexible hours to accommodate a variety of schedules and work styles

  • Fluency in English (bilingual in any language is a plus, but not required)
  • Must reside in California (arenaflex is committed to supporting our employees and their families, and we require all employees to reside in California)

Essential Qualifications

* 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a benefits or insurance-related field

  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred

Preferred Qualifications

* 2-5 years of experience in a benefits or insurance-related field

  • Experience working with labor unions, credit unions, or associations
  • Bilingual in any language (Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, etc.)
  • Experience with benefits software or systems
  • Strong knowledge of benefits and insurance products

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

  • Salary: $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience
