This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to avid readers, writers, editors, and anyone with a sharp eye for what makes writing truly work. No publishing credits required — just a genuine passion for the craft and the ability to articulate what separates great writing from the forgettable kind. • Read and evaluate AI-generated creative writing across genres — fiction, poetry, personal essays, satire, and more
• Assess writing for quality, originality, voice, tone, coherence, and emotional resonance
• Identify weaknesses such as clichés, unnatural phrasing, tonal inconsistencies, and logical gaps
• Provide clear, constructive written feedback that helps AI systems produce more compelling and authentic writing
• Rate outputs using structured evaluation frameworks while adding nuanced qualitative commentary
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
• A genuine lover of reading and writing — you have strong opinions about what good writing looks and feels like
• Able to evaluate writing quality across styles and genres with thoughtful, articulate feedback
• Strong command of English language, grammar, and style
• Comfortable working through substantial volumes of text with consistency and focus
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated when working independently
• No prior publishing, editing, or AI experience required
• Background in creative writing, English literature, journalism, or communications
• Experience with editing, beta reading, or writing workshops
• Familiarity with a range of literary genres and styles
• Prior experience with content evaluation or quality assurance workflows
• Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs
