. This role offers a hybrid work model, allowing for a blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. You will be responsible for the design, analysis, and project management of complex bridge and structural engineering projects from conception through completion. This includes performing structural calculations, developing detailed design drawings and specifications, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., AASHTO, MnDOT). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bridge design (steel, concrete, prestressed concrete), retaining walls, and other heavy civil structures. You will also play a key role in client interaction, proposal development, and mentoring junior engineers. Experience with structural analysis software such as SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or similar is essential, along with proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required, with a Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Minnesota or the ability to obtain it quickly is a must. Responsibilities: Lead the design and analysis of bridges, overpasses, retaining walls, and other civil structures. Prepare detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications. Ensure designs comply with all applicable codes, standards, and project requirements. Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources. Perform quality control reviews of engineering deliverables. Mentor and guide junior engineering staff. Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in structural and bridge design. PE license required (Minnesota preferred or ability to obtain). Proficiency with structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, CSiBridge, STAAD.Pro). Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation. Strong understanding of bridge design principles and construction methods. Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
