We are seeking a seasoned Director of Product Management to define and drive the strategic direction of our product portfolio while building a high-performing, disciplined product management function. This leader owns the “why” and “what” of the product — setting vision, shaping strategy, and defining customer and business value. They will play a critical role in transforming ClarisHealth from a customer-led organization to a product-led company, where deep customer insight informs proactive, outcome-driven innovation. This role operates in close partnership with the VP of Product Delivery, who owns execution through Product Owners, Delivery, and supporting functions. Responsibilities: Product Strategy & Vision Define and communicate a clear, compelling product vision aligned to company goals and market opportunities (0–18 month horizon) Own the product roadmap, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives, regulatory considerations, and customer needs Translate business objectives into actionable product initiatives with clear success metrics Develop business cases for new investments, including value propositions, ROI, and measurable outcomes Establish a strong point of view on market direction, positioning Pareo as a category-defining platform Product Management Leadership & Operating Model Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers through coaching, feedback, and career development Establish and continuously refine a product management operating model, including: Clear role definitions (PM vs. PO vs. Delivery) Decision rights and governance Standardized frameworks for discovery, prioritization, and roadmap management Define and implement a PM competency model and career ladder to scale talent and performance Drive consistency, clarity, and accountability in how product management is practiced across the organization Product-Led Transformation Lead the transition from a reactive, customer-request-driven model to a proactive, product-led approach Establish product discovery as a core discipline (customer research, JTBD, data-driven insights) Partner with Sales and Customer Success to evolve how customer input is captured and used — from requests to insights Define and track product-led growth metrics (adoption, retention, expansion) to guide investment and validate strategy Educate stakeholders on product-led principles and reinforce adoption across the organization Strategic Partnership with Product Delivery Partner closely with the VP Product Delivery to ensure alignment between product strategy and execution capacity Provide clear strategic direction, priorities, and outcomes to enable effective delivery planning and sequencing Collaborate with Product Owners and Delivery leadership to ensure: Strategy is translated into executable work Trade-offs are made intentionally across scope, timeline, and value Feedback loops from delivery and adoption inform ongoing strategy Support a healthy operating model that maintains clear separation of concerns while fostering strong collaboration Cross-Functional Leadership Serve as a key liaison between executive leadership, product teams, and client-facing functions Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Growth to align on priorities and outcomes Collaborate with Marketing and GTM teams to articulate product value and differentiation Foster a collaborative environment grounded in transparency, accountability, and shared outcomes Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement Define and monitor product OKRs and KPIs tied to business outcomes Use data and customer insights to continuously refine strategy and prioritization Lead post-launch evaluations to measure impact and inform future investment decisions Market & Customer Insight Champion deep customer understanding as a driver of innovation — not a backlog of requests Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory changes to proactively shape strategy Identify unmet needs and emerging opportunities to drive differentiated product development

Qualifications

Education & Background Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 8+ years of progressive product management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or director-level role leading both product strategy and a team of product managers. Deep mastery of product management principles, frameworks, and best practices — with a proven record of building and scaling product management functions, not just individual products. Certification in Pragmatic Institute (Product Management or Beyond Requirements level preferred), or equivalent strategic product management training — with demonstrated ability to apply these frameworks organizationally, not just individually. Proven experience with Agile methodologies and product management tools such as Jira, Aha!, Miro, Productboard, or similar. Background in healthcare, payment integrity, or other regulated industries required — able to navigate complex compliance and operational environments. Core Skills & Competencies Visionary and strategic thinker with strong business acumen — able to connect product decisions to organizational outcomes and articulate a bold, inspiring product point of view to executives, customers, and the broader team. Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging with both executive and technical audiences. Demonstrated ability to build and develop product managers directly, and to elevate product management capability indirectly across cross-functional teams — creating alignment, shared language, and a culture of outcome-driven execution. Proficiency in data-driven decision making, leveraging metrics, customer insights, and market data to set direction and measure success. Excellent organizational, prioritization, and delivery management capabilities in fast-paced environments. Proven track record building product management functions from the ground up or at a critical inflection point — including process design, team development, and cultural transformation — not just delivering individual products.
