Business Analyst

Kekst CNC is part of Mars United Commerce, a global commerce marketing practice. They are seeking a Business Analyst to perform descriptive and prescriptive analytics, client reporting, and cross-functional integration, while providing actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Analytics Engineering, Data Science, Strategic Planning, and other functions in the business
  • Contribute to the development of the Analytics capability for the business
  • Work closely with cross-functional agency and client teams to define analytic needs and recommend methodologies, with the ability to execute independently
  • Collaborate with internal partners to improve workflows and data quality within defined areas
  • Implement a data visualization process to aid in the data quality checking process
  • Synthesize data from a variety of sources, including Circana, Nielsen, Numerator, media vendors, customer-specific POS, shopper loyalty databases, consumer survey research, and category management tools, to identify and prioritize business-building opportunities
  • Assist in the creation of, and own the creation of, client-ready reports with a focus on visual storytelling
  • Conduct business process analysis and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop business requirements and specifications for new systems and processes
  • Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment on project goals
  • Support wider agency initiatives

Skills

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a directly related field
  • Minimum of 1-5 years of experience working with data; experience in consumer marketing, retail, and CPG industries is a plus
  • Passion for data and analytics and the value of data-driven decision-making
  • Ability to tell a visual story that leads to results and decision-making
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple clients and projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work proactively and efficiently with a very high level of quality
  • Team player with strong relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills
  • Basic proficiency in SQL
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Knowledge of digital and/or marketing analytics
  • Experience working with IRI or Nielsen data
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or any similar data visualization tools
  • Experience in Python and R
