PR & Comms Specialist
Fever is the world’s leading tech platform for culture and live entertainment, aiming to democratize access to culture and entertainment. The PR & Communications Specialist will support the development and execution of the company's communication strategy, including drafting media materials and coordinating with journalists and influencers.
Responsibilities
- Draft, edit, and coordinate approval of press releases, background checkers, media advisories, Q&As, fact sheets, and related content
- Maintain daily contact with journalists: respond to inquiries, proactively pitch stories, and coordinate interviews
- Assist in organizing and executing press events, influencer activations, and stakeholder meetings
- Manage media monitoring, reporting, and internal trackers: coverage clippings, agendas, media lists, and reporting dashboards
- Monitor competitor activity and industry trends; provide summaries and insights to the team
- Ensure message consistency across paid, earned, shared, and owned media
- Liaise with internal departments (marketing, brand, legal, product) to ensure alignment of messaging
- Act as a brand guardian in external communication, upholding tone, language, and core values
Skills
- 0–3 years of experience in PR, corporate communications, media relations, or journalism
- Strong sense of autonomy and ownership of tasks and deadlines
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills in [insert required languages, e.g., English and Spanish]
- Familiarity with media databases, monitoring platforms (e.g., Meltwater, Cision), and CMS/social media tools
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
- Team player with a proactive mindset and willingness to learn
- Previous experience in an agency, a startup, or a media environment
- Knowledge of crisis communication protocols or reputation management
- Exposure to public affairs or stakeholder engagement

- 22 days annual leave = 12 working days of vacation per year + 8 working days of paid sick leave per year + 2 days of paid family leave per year.
- Parental leave: Fever provides the following entitlements for parents (both birthing and non-birthing) who have been employed by Fever for a period of three (3) months or more, which must be taken consecutively after the birth / adoption of a child:
- Eight (8) weeks of mandatory paid leave immediately after, receiving 100% of the base salary; plus
- Either an additional eight (8) weeks of optional paid leave, receiving 50% of the base salary, or four (4) additional weeks of optional paid leave, receiving 100% of the base salary, plus
- An additional twelve (12) weeks of optional unpaid leave, which may be extended up to forty (40) weeks if approved by the manager before leave starts.
