Product Coordinator (Japanese Bilingual)

GungHo Online Entertainment America, Inc. is a U.S. subsidiary of a Japanese game company, focused on publishing titles across multiple platforms. The Product Coordinator is responsible for the upkeep of a live operations product, acting as the primary liaison between Japanese development teams and the American production team, while also handling fan feedback and ensuring information accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Primary liaison between the Japanese development teams and GungHo America’s production team for a live operations title
  • Responsible for monitoring product updates and maintenances
  • Request information required for social media and marketing efforts
  • Share fan feedback with Japanese development teams
  • Accurately translate informational material from written Japanese to English and vice versa
  • Provide feedback on marketing materials
  • Check accuracy of in-game messaging
  • Check accuracy of messaging on all official channels
  • Provide a helpful presence for the fans
  • Create proposals for tournaments, giveaways, and merchandise at live events
  • Assist with KPI data analysis
  • Ensure correct timings of messages, announcements, and reveals

Skills

  • Must be business-level proficiency in English and in Japanese (both written and verbal)
  • Willingness to travel for business as needed
  • Flexibility to work overtime when required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong eagerness to learn and grow in the video game industry
  • Passion for games!
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • One to two years of localization experience in the same or a similar role preferred
  • Marketing knowledge or a related background
  • A proven track record of generating results in a data-driven environment
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
