Sales Development Representative | Ontario, Canada
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. As a Sales Development Representative, you will focus on sourcing high-value deals and building Ramp's presence in the Canadian market while working closely with leadership and sales teams.
Responsibilities
- Source new sales opportunities in Canada through outbound outreach
- Leverage BANT and ICP criteria to assess deal quality and route appropriately
- Conduct consultative discovery to understand prospect pain points, priorities, and intent
- Grow top of sales funnel through warm and cold outbound campaigns
- Research companies and add prospects to our outbound list
- Maintain accurate client relationship data within Salesforce
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; Excellent listening skills and energetic phone presence
- High level of comfort with sales, prospecting and marketing tools & processes
- Dedication to tracking and improving performance and efficiency on a daily basis
- High curiosity and business acumen, with the ability to quickly understand complex financial and operational challenges
- Sense of entrepreneurship: a self-starter with a high sense of urgency and ability to work within undefined processes
- Prior experience with customer-facing and/or sales roles
- Prior CRM experience (preferably Salesforce)
- Experience with financial services sales
- Experience at a high-growth startup
- Ability to understand financial services
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year university
