This remote position requires a commitment of approximately 2-3 hours per week and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the promotion of democracy through compelling visual storytelling. As a Motion Graphics Designer, you will be responsible for creating animated assets and motion graphics that enhance our social media content and outreach efforts. Your work will help engage and inform voters across various digital platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. The ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling through video, proficient in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Creative Cloud applications, and eager to collaborate with a dynamic team dedicated to civic engagement. This role provides a chance to develop your skills, contribute to a meaningful cause, and be part of a movement that aims to transform the voting experience in America.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience as a Motion Graphics Designer or Video Editor.
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and other Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
- Strong ability to create engaging and dynamic motion graphics from scratch.
- Excellent understanding of visual aesthetics, pacing, and brand consistency.
- Portfolio or reel showcasing previous motion graphics work.
- Interest and familiarity with social media video formats, including TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within deadlines.
- Strong communication and creative brainstorming skills.
- Located within the US and available to work 1-2 hours during US Pacific Time overlap.
- Passion for civic engagement and strengthening American democracy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and design dynamic motion graphics and animated assets for video content across multiple platforms.
- Collaborate with producers, directors, and designers to ensure creative alignment on video projects and templates.
- Manage multiple projects efficiently, adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions to generate innovative content ideas.
- Adapt and optimize video content for various digital platforms, ensuring maximum engagement.
- Conduct quality checks and incorporate feedback to refine motion graphics.
- Maintain an organized library of motion graphic assets and project files for easy access and reuse.
- Stay updated on current trends in motion graphics, social media video content, and civic engagement visuals.
