With a bold vision to reshape how people and goods move, arenaflex combines cutting‑edge engineering, data‑driven decision making, and a culture of relentless curiosity. Our Semi program, a flagship initiative focused on next‑generation electric trucks, relies on precise data collection, rigorous analysis, and clear communication to drive performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. As we expand our remote workforce, we are looking for talented individuals who thrive in a fast‑paced, data‑centric environment and who want to make a tangible impact on the future of clean transportation.

Position Overview – Remote Data Analyst (Data Entry & Insight)

arenaflex is seeking a highly motivated Remote Data Analyst to serve as the information champion for our Semi program. In this role, you will transform raw vehicle telemetry and operational data into actionable insights, concise reports, and compelling visualizations that empower internal teams and external stakeholders. This is a full‑time, work‑from‑home opportunity based in California, USA, offering a competitive rate of $26 per hour. If you have a passion for data, a knack for storytelling, and the technical chops to build robust data pipelines, we want you on our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Translation & Reporting: Create clear, concise, and visually engaging reports and dashboards that translate complex data sets into easily digestible information for senior leadership, product managers, and Semi customers.
  • Data Extraction & Preparation: Design and execute data extraction queries to pull telemetry, performance, and diagnostic data from vehicle fleets, supporting model validation, component testing, and service diagnostics.
  • Automated Fleet Monitoring: Develop automated scripts that generate daily, weekly, and monthly performance summaries, highlighting key metrics such as energy consumption, uptime, and health indicators.
  • Collaboration with Data Engineering: Partner with data engineering teams to design scalable data pipelines, ensure data integrity, and implement best practices for data validation and governance.
  • Code Development & Maintenance: Write clean, well‑documented, and reusable Python and SQL code that can be easily maintained and extended by other analysts and engineers.
  • Business Intelligence Support: Provide data‑driven insights to the business development team, contributing to customer‑facing presentations, proposals, and strategic planning documents.
  • Time‑Series Analysis: Analyze time‑series data from vehicle logs (e.g., CAN bus data) to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for performance optimization.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between technical teams and non‑technical stakeholders, ensuring that data findings are communicated effectively and lead to informed decision‑making.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Proficiency in Python programming, including libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and matplotlib.
  • Strong command of SQL for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, remote environment.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and precision.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience handling large, complex datasets, particularly time‑series data from vehicle telemetry (e.g., CAN, OBD‑II).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and data warehousing solutions.
  • Knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning basics, or predictive analytics.
  • Prior exposure to the automotive or transportation industry, especially electric vehicle fleets.
  • Ability to create automated reporting solutions using scripting or workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect).
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying data gaps and proposing solutions.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex data problems, draw logical conclusions, and present findings in a compelling narrative.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams, respecting diverse perspectives, and fostering a culture of shared ownership.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in an environment where priorities shift quickly, and new data sources emerge regularly.
  • Technical Rigor: Commitment to writing maintainable, well‑documented code and adhering to best practices in data management.
  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Understanding how data insights translate into value for internal and external customers.
